This was sooooo much fun! This year we actually did it- the Dirty Dash, a 5K obstacle course filled with muddy trenches, wall climbing, barrel crawling, tire hopping, running, and yes, a swamp! Awesome! I mentioned to Derek that by accomplishing this course we are basically in the army, HOORAH!, he however said we would technically be a Green Beret due to the craziness of the course... but thanks to Emily, my brother-in-law Dereks' fiance, we signed up and did it.
Above is Emily, Derek, Me, Maria, & Brett...this was definitely as hard as I thought it would be, but also so worth it...and now we plan on doing it every year. All proceeds go to various charities in the area...and it's great to just say we finished it!
Adam, his parents and Cade & Abby came up to support us. The run itself took us about and an hour...we had excellent weather...and I think what Adam enjoyed the most was all the people watching. Many of the teams dressed up...and some were crazy- like girls in tutu's and boys in prom dresses. The kids loved it, and I could only get a congrats kiss out of Cade...Abby was scared to death of me! All-in-all a wonderful day! I can't wait till next year!
